Bullish Beef Market Continues

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cash Cattle prices continued to rally through Friday, as Beef Futures remain Bullish. Let’s go to Oliver Sloup with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Dn 12, to finish at 6-00 ¼. March Corn was Dn 5 ½, to finish the day at 4-46 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Dn 12 ¼, to settle at 6-24 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 6-60 to 7-30. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for March were Unch, ranging 6-45 to 6-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for April were Dn 11, ranging from 6-85 to 6-90. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were Dn 7, ranging from 7-81 to 7-91.

Live Cattle for April were Up $.97 ½, closing at 181.67 ½. March Feeder Cattle were Up $1.52 ½, to finish the day at 239.70. Feb. Class III milk was Up $.38, to settle at 16.53.
