Cash Cattle Find Rally

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Cash Cattle followed the trend yesterday, rallying to highs not seen since Thanksgiving. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Up 1 ½, to finish at 6-12 ¼. March Corn was Dn ½, to finish the day at 4-51 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Up 11 ¼, to settle at 6-37.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 6-60 to 7-30. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for March were Unch, ranging 6-45 to 6-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for March were Up 11 ¼, ranging from 6-97 to 7-02. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were Up 4 ½, ranging from 7-94 to 7-99.

Live Cattle for April were Up $2.35, closing at 180.70. March Feeder Cattle were Up $4.40, to finish the day at 238.17 ½. Feb. Class III milk was Up $.29, to settle at 16.15.
