Weekly Cattle Update
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Feeders and Live Cattle finished the week mixed, as prices continue to hold strong. Let’s go to Greg Sanders with the USDA for the weekly cattle update.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 29 ½, to finish at 6-97 ½. Dec. Corn was Dn 10, to finish the day at 5-36 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Dn 14 ½, to settle at 8-60 ¼.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Up 5, ranging from 7-00 to 7-75. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Unch – Up 10, ranging from 7-00 to 7-50. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 14 ½, ranging from 8-80 ¼ to 9-10 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 15, ranging from 9-37 to 9-47.
Live Cattle for Oct. was Dn $.85, closing at 181.90. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $.82 ½, to finish the day at 245.92 ½. Aug. Class III milk was Up $.44, to settle at 16.71.
