Beef Markets Pick Up Slack
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. The Beef Market found their way back into the green following a few days of struggle. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Up 4 ½, to finish at 7-52 ¾. Dec. Corn was Dn 8, to finish the day at 6-20 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Up ½, to settle at 8-72 ½.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Up 05, ranging from 7-40 to 8-15. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Aug. were Unch – Up 05, ranging from 7-40 to 7-65. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Aug. were Up ½, ranging from 9-17 ½ to 9-22 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were Up 2 ¾, ranging from 9-54 ½ to 9-64 ½.
Live Cattle for Aug. was Up $1.40, closing at 171.15. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $2.95, to finish the day at 230.67 ½. July Class III milk was Dn $.06, to settle at 14.89.
