Florida Woman in Competition for $120,000 Horse Training Contract

Debuting this past Friday, the “Horse Help Train-Off” is now unfolding with weekly episodes on the on the Horse Guru YouTube channel. It features six trainers, all currently in Mississippi for a six-month stint, as they vie for a coveted and well-compensated horse training contract. How well compensated? The winner will sign an annual contract valued at $10,000 monthly.
The creator behind the YouTube channel, Michael Gascon is known as the “Horse Guru” and is a 5th-generation horse trainer located in Poplarville, Mississippi. I spoke with him last week…
“All of them are going to get unstarted, untouched colts to start – a Quarter Horse colt and a Pasa Fino colt. Never been touched, you have five months to make it the very best horse that you can make it. And that’ll be a lot of the competition, to see how they can start to finish a colt.”
Texas, Montana, Zimbabwe, North Carolina, and Kentucky all have trainers representing their states as does Florida with Alexa Lopez. You can head to the Horse Guru YouTube channel to follow their progress.
