2022 will be remembered for many things. One of those, in agriculture at least, is when nutrient use efficiency products really hit the mainstream. Sound Agriculture CEO Adam Litle says he’s never seen ag embrace a product category quite this fast.

Litle.. “I've really not seen a market and ag move this fast in my career. I've been in biofuels, I've been in software. I've seen the seed side, crop production side, and so it's super exciting. It started out with your classic early adopter, who is more progressive, maybe more of a regenerative mindset, and, and for a multitude of reasons, not just profit, looking at ways of growing things more sustainably. Last year, you started to see that heat up where you probably went from a few percent of growers two (or) three years ago using products like these to data I saw in a larger study was about 7%. And then I recently saw some other data that this year over 30% of growers are using nutrient use efficiency products, whether it's a biological or SOURCE or related, to unlock that nutrition and basically replace in some form classic synthetic fertilizer.”

Litle compared the phenomenon to when roundup ready technology was embraced in the 90s.
