Augmented Pear Experience Pt 2
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. Fresh pears for this season have been taken off the trees and are now waiting for us to enjoy them!
Pear Bureau Northwest’s Jim Morris says to learn more about them AND many different, delicious ways to enjoy them, just use their new Augmented Reality Experience by capturing their QR code …
MORRIS … “You just point your camera at the code. It will capture it in a little frame and, once its acknowledged on your screen, and pretty much from there, you just tap the screen, follow the directions, and just sit back and enjoy it.”
So, where can you find this QR code? …
MORRIS … “So, we have some in-store signage that we’ve offered to some retailers. So, hopefully we’ll have a lot of participation from our retailers and their produce departments where they can scan it.”
But, Morris says if you don’t see it there …
MORRIS … “We will be also posting a way to access it on social media. We certainly want you to follow us, but if you don’t happen to follow us, hopefully we’ll capture you through a sponsored post that we’ll be participating in and that will be coming out very shortly.”
And, Morris says it’s out there now for your enjoyment …
MORRIS … “That’s right. It is out there. It’s active and ready to go so if you see it on social or if you want to visit our website, you’ll be able to participate now. You don’t have to wait to go to the store.”
Morris says the Pear Bureau is very excited and hope you pear lovers enjoy the new Augmented Reality Experience.
