This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Dryer weather in Southern growing regions drive Wheat prices higher to kick off the week. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day up 25 ¾, to finish at 10-10. May Corn was up 15 ½, to finish the day at 7-50 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were up 24 ¾, to settle at 10-13 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-75 to 12-25. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for June were Unch, ranging from 10-75 to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for June were up 25 ½, ranging from 11-39 ¼ to 11-59 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up 19 ¾, ranging from 11-65 to 12-05.

Live Cattle for June were dn $.92 ½, closing at 134.92 ½. May Feeder Cattle were dn $3.65 to finish the day at 162.47 ½. May Class III milk was dn $.56 to settle at 23.99.
