This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Grain prices soar following news of Russia Invading Ukraine, some commodities reaching highs not seen since last summer. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day up 50, to finish at 9-34 ¾. May Corn was up 9, to finish the day at 6-90 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were up 48, to settle at 9-66.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-50 to 13-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for April were Unch, ranging from 10-50 to 11-05. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for April were up 38 to 48, ranging from 11-56 to 12-16. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were up 7 ½ to 17 ½, ranging from 11-20 ¼ to 11-75 ¼.

Live Cattle for April were dn $2.45, closing at 142.30. April Feeder Cattle were dn $4.47 ½ to finish the day at 163.80. March Class III milk was up $.49 to settle at 22.51.
