Cereal Experts: Time to Think About Spring

Although it’s the winter, it’s never too early for farmers to start thinking about what they’re going to face in the spring. Nate Andersen is a regional account manager for Bayer Crop Science based in Moses Lake Washington. He says the weeds will be coming.
Andersen… “Right now growers should really be thinking about what they're going to face in the spring. We had a really dry year last year, but the moisture started arriving in the fall and winter wheat got planted and most of it is up and in great shape. So those weeds will be coming. There's winter annuals, already germinated out in the field. And then as spring rolls around, there'll be plenty more weeds out there. So they really should start thinking about what their herbicide program is going to be this next year.”
Andersen is one of Bayer’s Cereal Experts which provide solutions for challenges growers face with spring wheat, winter wheat, and sorghum.
Andersen… “Cereal Experts is an all encompassing term that includes everything that we do in cereals here at Bayer. Everything from WestBred seed, all the way to our herbicide and fungicide product line, along with seed growth. And growers can find out all the information they need to know about Cereal Experts at cerealexperts.com website.”
