It’s time for your Farm of the Future Report. I’m Tim Hammerich.

This past year Semios, a leader in precision orchard management, acquired three other companies to add to their platform. I caught up with CEO Michael Gilbert to find out when growers can expect these four companies to be fully integrated with each other under one umbrella.

Gilbert… “There's a few different levels to the integrations. One is like the sales process. Like how many sales reps do they need to speak to, to get the products? We're trying to streamline that, so it comes together. Then there's the integration of the actual products. So do the actual interfaces come together? And there's a timeline for that. And then we also work in a timeline for the field services and maintenance. One of the reasons why companies want to also work with Semios is that we have a large established field services team that can go out and install equipment and service it. And so then how do we get those new products on to essentially that platform we use in terms. The service equipment and use tickets. And so I think one of the ones that becomes obviously of interest to our customers is going to be: when do these data sets come together? When am I going to have that one login for everything? That's always our goal. For now we work a lot on sharing data sets and you can still access either platform, but some of those key learnings come together in one visual.”

Gilbert said as those integrations take place, the company will continue to ask their customers what other services should be added to their platform.
