This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Most all of the profits from earlier in the week were swept away yesterday in the grain market as prices plunged across the board. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 20 ½, to finish at 7-83 ½. March Corn was dn 10, to close at 6-04 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were dn 25 ¼, to settle at 8-21 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 10-50 to 13-75. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Feb. was dn Unch, ranging from 10-50 to 11-25. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Feb. were dn 25 ¼, ranging from 9-96 ¾ to 10-16 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Feb. were dn 25, ranging from 10-99 ½ to 11-19 ½.

Live Cattle for Feb. were up $.12 ½, closing at 139.40. March Feeder cattle were up $1.95, to finish the day at 165.22 ½. Feb. Class III milk was up $.06, to settle at 19.95.
