Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. Today is the day we talk traveling with Food and Wine in mind. This time last year I took a trip to California and caught up with a friend and we traveled through the Russian River Valley and down through the Paso Robles Wine Country. It was a great trip and I must admit that it is the perfect time of year to go to California Wine Country. Not too hot not too crowded. Recently I did a little armchair traveling through my memories of last years trip to California wine country as I perused the April issue of Food & Wine Magazine. It is an amazing edition. They really out did themselves. Everything from the best new restaurants to the most perfect accommodations and how to find all of them. There are recommendations for wines, and wineries to visit, and loads of great articles about what is happening in each wine region. If you don't subscribe to the magazine but you think you might travel to California wine country you really should head out to the newsstand and pick up a copy of the April edition before they are all gone. Then continue and pick up the May edition which the 10th Annual Travel issue. I know I will be keeping both of my copies for future reference.
