This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle finished the week on the upside, with boxed beef and cash prices both trending higher. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 6 ¼, to finish at 7-19. Dec. Corn was up 3 ½, to close at 5-56 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 14 ¼, to settle at 7-05 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – up 90, ranging from 9-05 to 11-10. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was Unch – up 65, ranging from 8-87 to 9-60. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were up 14 ½, ranging from 8-27 ½ to 8-77 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. was up 11, ranging from 10-13 ¼ to 10-48 ¼.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.30, closing at 127.87 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $2.17 ½, to finish the day at 163.32 ½. Sept. Class III milk was up $.09, to settle at 16.49.
