This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Both grains and cattle off to a rocky start to the week, but increased exports could be a good sign for markets ahead. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day DN 7 ¾, to finish at 7-11 ¼. Dec. Corn was DN 2 ¾, to close at 5-53 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were DN 4 ¼, to settle at 7-01 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 9-05 to 11-10. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was Unch, ranging from 8-87 to 9-60. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were DN 4, ranging from 8-23 ½ to 8-73 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were dn 7 ¾, ranging from 10-05 ½ to 10-40 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $.40, closing at 127.47 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle were dn $.12 ½, to finish the day at 163.20. Sept. Class III milk was up $.09, to settle at 16.58.
