With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. Two more Auction of Washington Wines ‘Virtual Wine Tastings’ are coming up, giving you a chance to educate yourself about some of our fantastic wine.

Host and author of the Wine Bible, Karen MacNeil says it’s an educational experience for wine lovers …

MacNEIL … “A little bit of the teacher in me always tends to come out. So, I like interjecting where I can for viewers certain fascinating facts about the Washington wine industry that I’ve learned.”

Up next, MacNeil says will be the Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting on August 4th…

MacNEIL … “So, Washington Cabernet not only has come a long way, but it has a long track record now of really making beautiful wines. I think these are really very mature wines in the sense that vintners have made them for quite a long time now.”

Washington Cabs, MacNeil says are vast …

MacNEIL … “You know, there are more than a thousand wineries in Washington now so you can’t just say, you know, if it was California, you’d never say, okay we’ve had three vintners on and you’ve talked about cabernet, we’re done now. I mean, right, you would never say that. There are lots of styles to talk about.”

The final two virtual tastings are August 4th with Cabernets … and August 25th with Age-worthy White Wines.
