**The Georgia Peanut Commission plans to host a Kickoff to Planting, Peanut Palooza this Saturday, from 10:00 to 2:00, at the Georgia Peanut Commission office in Tifton.

www.morningagclips.com reports, the family friendly event will have free boiled peanuts, fried peanut samples, Simply Sweet Celebrations cupcake truck and Tifton Takeover Nutrition peanut butter shake samples.

The event also includes opportunities to plant your own peanut plant, prizes and giveaways, photo opportunities for kids and more.

**Georgia’s “favorite sweet onion” will be served at “America’s Greatest Race.”

The Vidalia Onion Committee announced that Vidalia onions are on the official menu for the 2021 Kentucky Derby, featured in several dishes served at one of the Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.

**February exports of U.S. beef and pork remained below the rapid pace established in early 2020, according to USDA data compiled by the U.S. Meat Export Federation.

But exports were consistent with USMEF's February projections.

Beef exports totaled over 103,000 metric tons, down 8% from a year ago, with value down 2%.

Pork exports were down 12% from a year ago at over 239,000 metric tons, with value down 13%.
