Farmer Bob's World

Even though California is a very large agricultural producing state, most Californians know very little about how their food is produced.
McKellar… “We got to, after sitting, trying to help people who've never been on a farm. So we thought, gee, maybe we could create something where families could come and learn a little bit about farming.”
That’s Bob McKellar, a farmer in Ivanhoe, California. He started engaging with the public by opening up an area of his farm as a wedding venue. Now he’s going deeper on the idea of educating the public about agriculture by opening Farmer Bob’s World.
McKellar… “We have created a place for people to visit and see a lot of farm equipment. People that have never seen in an orange tree up close, or have never picked an orange off a tree, they just go nuts over that. So it's kind of exciting. So we had our grand opening. Now we're open five days a week to whoever comes by and wants to see what we've got to offer.”
Farmer Bob’s World is now open for farm tours and events. Learn more at FarmerBobsWorld.com.
