Taste Washington Wine Month Pt 3

With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. Taste Washington Wine Month is here and this year’s virtual celebration is packed with online events and specials for all the Washington wine lovers out there.

And, if you haven’t already, the Washington State Wine Commission’s Averyl Mooney says the first thing you need to do check out their website …

MOONEY … “ www.tastewashington.org is the hub of everything. It will highlight the weekly specials, it will give you ideas of what’s going on, it also houses a directory of every Washington winery and restaurant that’s participating.”

Mooney says it should answer any questions you might have …

MOONEY … “You, as a consumer, can go on and check out what’s going on around you and then go to those local spots and be able to participate by enjoying these promotions that these wineries and restaurants are offering.”

And, Mooney says there’s a social media aspect to it as well …

MOONEY … “Also, we have a huge online presence, of course, because that’s what the kids do these days. So, we’ve got a hashtag and an account that’s promoting all the activities happening across the state. A lot of wineries also are doing virtual tastings with winemakers and that’s all listed on the site. So, you can kind of just pick and choose your own adventure all throughout the month of March.”

Bottom line, Mooney says we deserve this …

MOONEY … “So, March is looking good in comparison to this past year that we’ve all kind of just lived through. So, it’s a nice little bright light for us.”

Again, go to www.tastewashington.org for all the information you need to take part in Taste Washington Wine Month events and offers.
