It’s time for your Farm of the Future Report. I’m Tim Hammerich.

Nutrient use efficiency is a critical part of increasing yield, crop quality, and ultimately, return on investment. NUE™ University is an online learning platform for crop advisers, retailers and growers to learn about nutrient use efficiency (NUE) practices and technology. This education is presented by Verdesian Life Sciences, where Caroline Currie leads row crop marketing.

Currie… “If I'm a farmer and I'm trying to figure out how do I engage in this space and pick products that help me really be set apart in conservation programs, and test new products that fall into this category of nutrient use efficiency, I want to work with really educated forward thinking sellers and trusted advisors.”

Currie says students have completed 9,000 courses on the platform in areas such as nitrogen management, phosphorus management, soil fertility, precision agriculture, and more. It used to be only for customers and partners, but this past year they’ve opened it up to everyone.

Currie… “All they would have to do is request a login to utilize NUE University and access all of those learning plans for their own professional development. And we're actually even looking at offering this out to some ag education programs. Just as an additional resource for learning at home during these awkward times.”
