Live Microbe Technology

More biological agronomic solutions are coming to the market, but applying a microbe is not the same as traditional chemicals. Companies like 3Bar Biologics are creating new ways to make sure they can maximize effectiveness with their microbial technology. Jane Fife is the Chief Technology Officer.
Fife.... “Our live microbes technology is a different way to approach the production of microbial products. We actually grow the microbes in the final packaging. So microbes are actually grown onsite by the farmer. So they know each and every time they have the most viable product.”
Theoretically this process could be used with a lot of different biological products, but 3Bar Biologics is currently using this process with their biostimulant product, called BioYield.
Fife… “BioYield is considered a biostimulant. The microbes that we have in BioYield, one of their main benefits to the plant is helping make nutrients, particularly phosphorus that may be bound in the soil, make it more available to the plant. Also helps the plant through a biotic stress by producing a range of phytohormones or things that can help the plant to get through that stress more easily. It tends to be in the category of a plant health product.”
