Valent's Latest Crop Protection Pt 1
With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. The more things change the more they stay the same, especially when it comes to the new products Valent offers and the results they’ve always expected.Valent’s Jesse Rosales says Northwest tree fruit growers have a few new products to help improve efficiency and productivity, with the first improving pest control …
ROSALES … “Senstar, so this is an exciting new, two-way insecticide. It’s a combo of Pyriproxyfen and Spirotetramat. And, what this offers is full lifecycle control over soft-bodied insects for pom fruit growers and stone fruit growers up there in the Northwest.”
So, what kind of pests are we talking about? …
ROSALES … “So, this material would be really good for aphid, pear psylla and other soft-bodied insects. And, the uniqueness about this is the combo of the AI’s.”
And those Active Ingredients, Rosales says help with pests from beginning to end …
ROSALES … “The two different modes of action enable the full lifecycle control over these pests. And then also, systemic and translaminar activity as well. So, you get a combo of big picture control over the pests from immatures all the way through adults. And, then you also get the movement within the plant and then translaminar activity.”
Tune in tomorrow for two more of Valent’s latest offerings that will help Northwest growers make the most of their input dollars.
