**The Alabama Farmers Federation scored impressive victories during the first day of American Farm Bureau Federation’s Virtual Convention January 10th.

The state’s largest farm organization received the New

Horizon Award, which honors innovative new programming, for its Alfa Awards that recognize researchers and Extension professionals whose work tangibly affects farmers.

The Federation’s Brian Hardin tells www.alfafarmers.org , these awards raise the bar for continued growth in practical agricultural research.

**The Georgia blueberry Commission is taking nominations for a person to fill the remaining term of Russ Goodman.

If interested, you must be a Georgia blueberry grower and willing to commit to meetings and activities of the Blueberry Commission.

www.morningagclips.com reports, Goodman is stepping down from his Commission duties to focus on representing District 8 in the Georgia State Senate.

The term ends the Summer of 2023, and the deadline for applications is January 31st.

**U.S. beef exports posted one of the best months on record in November, according to data from USDA and the U.S. Meat Export Federation.

November beef exports were the largest in more than a year at 115,337 metric tons, valued at $707.5 million.

USMEF President Dan Halstrom says beef exports to Mexico, hit hard by COVID-19, rebounded to the largest volume since 2016. Exports to Central America were also strong.
