Why drink wine? Hmmm & that's a good question. Well it sounds like a great topic for todays Vine to Wine, I'm your host Linda Moran and today we will address it.
Why drink wine? I'm sure that every wine lover has their own personal reasons. Perhaps it was the first time they realized the pleasure and relaxation derived from a nice glass of wine. Or maybe the way it makes any lunch or dinner a more civilized event. And there's the added benefit of wine making food taste better. Some say it opens up the taste buds on your palate. It has a way of making a plain ordinary dinner more exciting more fun or more relaxed and romantic. Of course there's also the aspect of hospitality - sharing good wine and conversation with your friends is unparalleled in life's memories. Wine also has a history it is an amazing beverage that has fascinated and sometimes obsessed people, throughout time, throughout the world. It is civilized and respected in most all nations, and like any other artform the more that you understand about it, the more you enjoy it. But the great thing about wine is that everyone is right! There are no wrong answers in wine. It is entirely up to you to decide where your preferences are. More and more people have come to realize that wine is food and when treated that way we would never abuse it. For several years now we've been hearing that, even in this fitness crazed society of ours, a little bit of wine may actually be good for us. There are so many pleasant and life enhancing reasons to drink wine moderately. But most of us drink wine because it enhances our lives and relaxes and soothes us, giving us pleasures and memories to share. Thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
