In more news….. Jacob Arnold is a New Mexico pecan grower. He speaks on behalf of all pecan growers in the West, including California regarding the pecan industry--- bullish for the future.
“I am, I think it is a great, sort of rosy look and future. And I really think a lot of it is because of what we are selling and our product,” said Arnold. “And as long as we can maintain that quality, I think we have some work to do with getting a quality product to our consumers. You know, there's been a complaint that a lot of times you see a red nut in the stores, which is a sign of the lack of freshness,” he noted.
“And I think giving them something that tastes good. That good quality is only going to help us in the future to market those pecans, increased consumption, and then to get consumers that are going to be continually coming back,” noted Arnold.
