Randy Dickhut is a senior vice president at Farmers National Company and his job calls for him to be on top of all kinds of agricultural issues including trends that can guide producers into crop decisions. We got into a philosophical discussion. “I have a good friend in the video business. A video producer and he just scored a huge contract with a company out here called Albertsons. He's really gotten a pretty sizable contract out of Albertsons in. He puts little monitors. The overall message is see these staples you're looking at. Those were freshly packaged X amount of days ago or you see this corn that was harvested recently. I guess the whole idea of being fresh produce. Of course the underlying message is this is not filled with all kinds of preservatives and antibiotics and it's that kind of organic message that I think appeals to a lot of millennials and increasingly probably older folks. Yeah I agree I think we all are paying more attention because that's a good sign because it means as a whole our nation is fluid enough to worry about these things and to have preferences as opposed to a developing country that just having a supply of food to eat is the primary purpose.”
