NPPC Campaign for USMCA and Fresh Apples Higher

**The National Pork Producers Council has launched a dynamic new campaign called “It’s Pork O’clock Somewhere,” to highlight the importance and benefits of the USMCA.

NPPC president David Herring tells, "Ratification of USMCA is the top priority for U.S. pork producers and there is no better way to highlight its importance than a campaign that illustrates how pork is enjoyed across United States, Canada and Mexico."

Last year, more than 40% of U.S. pork exports went to Canada and Mexico.

**U.S. dairy producers continue to send large numbers of milk cows to the nation’s packinghouses and that’s unlikely to change in the near future.

Daily Dairy Report analyst Sarina Sharp tells, even though milk prices have started to increase, the nation’s dairy producers don’t have much of an appetite yet to expand their herds.

Sharp says some dairy producers have taken the opportunity to sell out as their cows and facilities have become more valuable.

**U.S. fresh market apple inventories on November 1st are 15% above year-ago levels.

That’s according to the first storage report of the year from the U.S. Apple Association. reports fresh apple holdings on November 1 totaled 132.1 million cartons, up 15% from a year ago.

Total apples in storage totaled 179.2 million bushels, 17% more than last November and 5% more than the five-year average.
