11/29/05 Holiday toasts

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran and on today's program we are going to prepare for the holiday's by learning a few toasts. You know that tongue tied feeling when everyone is looking at you waiting for some words to inspire or give a warm and fuzzy feeling before their glasses clink? Well let's overcome the tied up tongue and look at a few short  but very sweet toasts for the Holidays. Okay so you brought some nice wine and now everyone is looking to you for the toast. I always like the "short and sweet" ones. They can be sincere without being long and drawn out. Her are a few of my favorites. "Here's to Eternity  may we spend it in as good company as this day finds us." "Eat Drink and be Merry --- for tomorrow we diet!" "I know I've wished you this before, but every year I wish it more  Happy Holidays." I outstretch my hand in a toast of love and friendship  Cheers & Happy Holidays. "Here's to the blessings of the year, here's to the friends we hold so dear, Cheers." Let the Holidays come and go but may the good feelings we share today go on forever.
