The Colorado Pork Producers will be electing their delegate candidates for the 2018 National Pork Producers Delegate Body or the Pork Act on January 21st at the Park Place Hyatt Downtown in Denver. Colorado Pork Producers Council Executive Director Joyce Kelly says

Kelly encourages pork producers to attend and vote and perhaps consider running to be a representative.

Kelly: "You pay into the Checkoff, this is how you are able to have an input into what your Checkoff dollars are being used for."

Any producer, age 18 or older who is a Colorado resident and has paid all assessments due by be consider as a delegate candidate and/or participate in the election. Kelly continues

Kelly: "If they plan on voting or wanting to be a delegate, they will need to prove that they have paid into the Pork Act. So they will need their paper work that shows that they have paid into the Pork Act."
