International Livestock Forum Happening Jan 6-7

In early January during the National Western Stock Show, the third annual of the International Livestock Forum will be happening on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins on January 6-7th.

Colorado State University head of the Animal Science Department Dr Kevin Pond shares more agenda details

Pond: "We try to get a very good group of speakers that have a connection to the livestock industry — either in the middle of it or on the teaching side of things. The Chancellor of our university system is going to be talking about the land grant university's role in meeting food for the future. Almost every year we have Randy Blach of CattleFax to give us his view of what the future looks like. Temple Grandin is usually on the agenda as well. So we have some really solid speakers that people would usually have to go spend a lot of money to see normally. We try to do both the domestic approach and the international as well. So we have representatives from the U.S. Meat Export Federation that will be part of a panel discussion and also have presentation from folks housed in Washington, D.C. to make sense of what are our political situation going forward looks like as well. So the presentations are great and the interaction during meals is even better because you get some one-to-one time with those individuals."

Cost for this event — thanks to the generous sponsors is only $49. To learn more you can go to the National Western Stock Show's website at nationalwestern.com
