Trinity Farms Fundraises For Wounded Warrior Project

Friday as we celebrated Veteran's Day, I spent a portion of it at Washington Cattlemen's Association Convention. I learned of an interesting and inspired donation project that Trinity Farms has been doing for the past three years. This multi-generational seed stock operation — who provides their commercial cow-calf customers with SimAngus bulls — has decided to focus on giving back to veterans through the Wounded Warrior Project at their production sale. Robb Forman shares more details

Forman: "So what we do — and our customers have been so supportive of and we are so thankful for that — it is a fantastic cause. We donate a heifer out of our sale each year and we sell her at the beginning of the sale. Often times that heifer actually re-donated and resold, and re-donated and gets resold. Then also we take donations from buyers there on that day too. We typically raise about $15,000 for that project each year."

Forman continues by sharing some of the reasons behind their support of this organization.

Forman: "We feel very blessed to get to do the things what we get do in this country and choose what we get to do. And a lot of our customers are veterans as well so it has resonated well with them in that regard too. So supporting something that is obviously near and dear to them."

Their next bull sale will be at their ranch in Ellensburg on March 4, 2017. For more information you can go to trinity farms.info
