This is your Northwest report for Wednesday, November 9, I'm David Sparks and posted this report prior to the outcome of the presidential election. That said, one of the few items that both candidates agreed on was the fact that they were both pre-election day, adamantly opposed to the TPP agreement.

Elsewhere, Farm Bureau's Patriot Project brings farmers and veterans together and allows farmers to mentor veterans interested in agriculture. West Virginia Farm Bureau recently joined the program and spokesperson Tabby Kuckuck says it allows farmers to give back to veterans. 

The program connects veterans with Farm Bureau members through a contact at the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. New Patriot Project programs are expected to match between one and three veterans with farmers in the first year. The new program in West Virginia has already matched a Farm Bureau member with a veteran. She says the program aims to help veterans become successful in agriculture.
