I'm Susan Allen Yesterday Chris Clemens Agronomy Service Manager for Syngetna shared his hat trick with us for an impromptu means of checking your Potato field for Thrips. So Chris what other tricks do you have for us for keeping on top of pest problems in our fields.

:30 Chris Clemens: Ya this really isn't a trick but something I believe in strongly,in paying attention to the emails that you can get weekly from Oregon State University. You are going to get information there not only from Oregon State but also Washington State shares information there as well. You will get information about insects. Information on potato tuber moth, potato psyllids, aphids, Colorado Potato Beetle. They will report information there and will also report information on diseases like Potato early and late blight.

Susan: Speaking of Late Blight another great way to stay on top of Blight conditions in the state of Washington is by way of checking in with the potato blight hotlines where our land grant colleges share information. So for information on Washington State you can dial 800-984-7400 that's 800-984-7400 or if you don't have a pen handy no problem I will have that number inside this report on our www.AgInfo.net web site.
