Grain taking it on the Chin
This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for June 10th. Grain taking it on the Chin reducing risk ahead of the big USDA report. Here is Oliver Sloup from the floor of the CME in Chicago, with the details. Chicago July Wheat prices closed yesterday dn 9 1/4 at 5-11. July corn ended the day dn 4 3/4, at 427 1/4. Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10 ½ % protein for June were unch to dn 9.25, ranging from 5-58 to 5-65 ½. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for June were dn 8.50, ranging from 5-54 to 5-74 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 1 1/2 ranging from 6-44 ½ to 6-64 ½. June Live Cattle closed yesterday up $.17, at 123.32. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $.07 ½, at 147.00. June class III milk was up 3 cents at, 13-29.
