Thirsty Land Documentary Tells the Drought Story

Thirsty Land will debut at the Water for Food Global Conference at the end of April in Omaha. Filmmaker, Conrad Weaver shares more about this documentary that shares the story of the importance of water to agriculture and food production and where they have been filming it.
Weaver: “We’ve really been in the American West — the story is about the drought in the American West and the Central Plains but more recently the greater impact in California. So we’ve been from central Kansas, Nebraska then into Wyoming and Colorado, then into Nevada and into Central California and even up to Eastern Washington.”
And although Weaver has had strong sponsors and contributors he is in the finishing stage of financing the film as he continues
Weaver: “We are continuing to raise funds. What I’m calling finishing funds — basically enough to put the finishing touches on this film and then for distribution and for marketing. So that is an urgent need right now just to get the funds to get the word out and promote this project around the country. So we are looking for people to come on board to do that - whether it is a corporation or an individual. All sponsorships are routed thorough our fiscal partner, the AgChat Foundation. So all donations can be tax deductible.”
