Milestone Equipment Makes Specialized Potato Equipment

In the past month, I've been to several farm and machinery shows, and have had the opportunity to visit with many different retailers. Today's story highlights one of the equipment dealers I met. Milestone Equipment has been providing quality - American made potato industry equipment for more than 50 years. Milestone Marketing Director Shane Mitchell shares more

Mitichell: "We build potato equipment. We've been in business since 1961. We've started buidling our potato seed cutter — that is our bread and butter — but we have expanded into all types of seed handling and all types of potato handling."

Mitchell continues with what makes their equipment different from their competitors.

Mitchell: "What sets us apart is that we really strive to listen to the grower. We try to cater our equipment to suit individual growers needs. We don't produce cookie cutter type equipment. We're going to build something to suit the grower's needs. The cutter is a very unique product to us and it is something we spend a lot of time and effort trying to perfect that machine."
