More Burns Protests & An Early Spring

More Burns Protests & An Early Spring. I'm Greg Martin with today's Northwest Report.

Dozens of vehicles cruised through the streets of Burns with lights flashing and horn honking. Calls to the remaining occupiers to "stand down" have been ignored and law enforcement has cut off any internet or cell phone coverage to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

AUDIO: There is no shadow to be cast, an early spring is my forecast.

For only the 18th time in the last 130 years, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow. A look at the actual forecast does seem to show that there may be a bit of a warming trend across the cold northern tier of the U.S. I for one and not getting out my swim trunk just yet.

That's today's Northwest Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network of the West.
