Memorable Fishing

To show you how memorable fishing is to people, listen to a business call I had with John, a real estate title officer in Fresno. "What's the weather like up there I haven't been there in a long time? The weather today is extremely foggy and unseasonably warm for this time of year about 35°. I can tell you that the area you knew has changed remarkably. You wouldn't recognize it. Well, I missed the fishing up there. I did a lot of fishing when I was up there. I had fly rods in my trunk and actually had six different fishing setups in my trunk where I could go any time anywhere to troll or to fly fish, all kinds of stuff. I used to fish in the Snake River and there was a great vast spot down there where I could stand right in the tail waters behind an island and in the last two weeks of July in the evening I would go over there and throw out a jig. There were small mouth bass and I would catch from 1 to 3 pound bass 5 feet from where I was standing. They were in the water all around me. If I hooked one and it got off I would get another one usually before I reeled it in again."
