Potential Hog Virus On Watch
I'm Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Jan 15th. We are seeing a similar "yo-yo" effect in the cattle market today. In the Midwest there has been talk of a PED swine virus outbreak, producers will want to keep an eye on this issue as it develops. We go to Oliver Sloup with more on this topic, from the floor of the CME.Sloup- "There have been some whispers of PED virus throughout the Midwest, that's going to be something to keep a very close eye on. If that spreads and develops into a bigger situation, we could see a bigger bid come into the market. Those are things we're looking at, that's what you should be looking at too. This has been Oliver Sloup with II Trader, from the floor of the CME."
