I'm Susan Allen with the Market Line Report for November 2nd. Greg Sanders brings you the USDA livestock update.

Sanders" here is the northwest direct feeder cattle update for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. 1900 head of feeder cattle trade this week compared to last week. Feeder cattle under 900 lbs. steady to six higher. Trades slower this week as trades took place in most sale barns. Feeder steers 1 and 2 on a delivered bases 800 to 900 lbs. 1.90 to 194 in Idaho. Feeder heifers 800 to 850 lbs. 1.82 delivered into Idaho.

Chicago December wheat ended up 7, at 522 3/4. December corn ended up 2 ½ at 382. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for December, were up up 9.00-unch, at mostly 5.7000-5.7200 . Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for December were up 5.50, at 5.9875-6.1875. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for December were up 5.50 at 6.4050-6.7550. October live cattle closed last Friday down $.87, at 139.25. November Feeder cattle were also down $1.17, at 190.75. October class III milk was down 3 cents, at 15-42.
