Washington Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Washington Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Washington Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. I'm Greg Martin with Washington Ag Today.

Boy, there are a lot of meetings this time of year and one in particular you won't want to miss is the Washington Farm Bureau's Annual Meeting coming up November 17, 18 and 19. Andy Barth, Public Relations Specialist for Washington Farm Bureau.

BARTH: It's held at the Yakima Convention Center and this year is our 95th annual meeting so it's pretty exciting. We've got a whole list of activities for our members. Two keynote speakers. Jane Herlong, she's from South Carolina. She's going to be our motivational speaker at our general session and then we've got John Harpole who is the founder of Mercator Energy. He's going to be talking about domestic and international energy policy.

Barth says there are a number of good breakout sessions on things like social media and policy issues.

BARTH: This is a chance for our members from all across the state to get together and we vote on different policies, we talk about different issues that Farm Bureau is supporting. They send delegates from each of our county Farm Bureau's and we can also see what's happening in the different sectors of ag from all across the state.

Registration is open and available online at wsfb.org

BARTH: You can go to the homepage and there's a link right at the top of the homepage. It will take you right to registration and it's going to be a good time.

And that's Washington Ag Today. I'm Greg Martin, thanks for listening on the Ag Information Network of the West.
