Tilth Producers Annual Conference

This years 2015 Tilth Producers Annual Conference is fast approaching and Michele Catalano, Executive Director discusses this years conference.

CATALANO: It is the main event that many of our members look forward to every year. It serves as both our key educational opportunity but also gives our community a chance to network with one another as the farm season is winding down. So we'll be offering 25 workshops over the course of the weekends well as through partnership with the Spokane Conservation District. On Friday we're hosting Farm-a-Palouse-a and a farm tour

There will be a grain stakeholder meeting on Friday as well. She says it's a great way for people to connect.

CATALANO: The prime audience for us has always been farmers. That can be in large part, new growers, farmers that are looking to learn from one another, network and hear from the experts through the workshops. Experienced growers also come. They're always looking to sharpen their skills and when you have those two groups in a room there's a lot of really, really great what we think of as inter-generational transfer of knowledge or that experience to new grower transfer of information that happens.
