I’m Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for September 17th. Both grain and cattle prices are in the red after a small rally from the beginning of the week. Todd Horwitz shares his thoughts, from the floor of the CME.

Chicago December Wheat ended yesterday 6 1/2, at 489 even. December corn ended the day down 4 ½ at 385 1/2.

Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for September, were unchanged to down 6 1/2, at mostly 5-38 1/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for September were down 6, at mostly 5-75 1/2. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for September were down 4, at mostly 6-27 1/2. October live cattle closed yesterday down $3, at 137.60. October Feeder cattle were up $4.50, at 188.25. October class III milk was down 26 cents, at 15-60.
