You know, I have done dozens and dozens of Sportsmen’s Spotlight segments on outfitters who I have been to or talked with at trade shows. The only guys I feature our outfitters who I believe in. I also used to do a show on the outdoor Channel called “ Outfitters Showcase”. The idea to that TV show was to take you to a specific outfitter that our crew believed in and show you what to expect in terms of hunting and fishing opportunities as well as accommodations. So wouldn’t it be nice to be able to learn about good outfitters and be able to get some feedback from clients. Enter, Jerome Tufte, a founder of an operation called Amberjack. “Joe and I started Amberjack out of personal experience by going on guided trips for several years now. Last summer we both went on a couple. Joe went to Idaho and I went to Austin and New Orleans and we both had incredible times. We both had the same feeling that we wanted to share that with others. A lot of our friends, when we come back to the city, are so jealous of these trips. We tell them that they are out there and that they just have to get out there and do it. We realized that for a lot of people it can be confusing and intimidating to go out and find these guides. Once you've done it a few times you catch on. But for a lot of people, this makes it a little more inviting experience.” What makes it more inviting? Find out tomorrow.
