Idaho Beef Council's Run For the Steaks

What would be better than a run next to the Boise River on a lovely fall evening? One that ends with a tri-trip steak dinner. Idaho Beef Council Executive Director Traci Bracco shares more details about the upcoming event in Boise.
Baracco: “Which is a 5K and 15 K run and takes place on Saturday, September 12th. The unique thing about this race is that it is an evening run and it is followed by a steak dinner. There are very few evening runs across the United States. Idaho Beef Council developed this run last year was a first year. This will be a second year. We are expecting about 700 to 1,000 participants. We have a 5K run and people are welcome to come out and walk the 5K course and the 15K run. It takes place in Ann Morrison Park. The participants will be running along the Boise River Greenbelt which is really nice. It is a great way for us to get out there to one - spread the word about beef being a preferred protein for athletes and two putting a face on the beef industry.”
Bracco says that beef producers and FFA students will be manning a number of the eight stations. She continues
Bracco: “Following the run, all the athletes as part of their race registrations are receiving a tri-tip steak dinner. The tri-tips are being donated by AgriBeef — the Double R Ranch premium Northwest beef.”
