Slow volume for wheat and cattle
I'm Susan Allen and this is Market Line for Tuesday. Take a deep breath because that is what it appeared both the cattle and grain markets did yesterday as there was not a lot of volume to report on after last week's see-saw in either grains or cattle. September corn ended the day up 6 at 441.
Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10.1/2 percent protein was down ¼ ranging 7- 7 1/4
White Club wheat of 10.5 % protein was down 1/4 ranging 7-7 ¼.
August New crop Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein, was down 5 at mostly 6 ¼.
August new crop DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices was down 10 ¼ ranging 6 ¾- 7 ¼
August live cattle were down .87 cents at 146.63 August feeder cattle were down 2 cents at 212. August class II milk was down.32 cents at 16.24
