Good friend of the show, Chris Claunch has a girlfriend named Teresa Sperry. She describes going mano y mano with a trout. "That is when you spy a fish, sneak in on top of the fish and you go mano y mano with nature and you hunt that fish down and you get him. The fish rises and takes a fly, feeding on the water and you see him come up. You are glazing over the water and you spy a fish and think Huh, I'm going to get that fish. You sneak down, bend over, get in the bushes so he can't see you, cast your line and voila, you hope he takes it. So you are not a fisher person you are a hunter of fish? Yes we read a book about trout hunting and I forgot the author's name."

Trout Hunting is for those who take flyfishing's traditions seriously, and for whom it is more than just a pastime. Bob Wyatt gets to the heart of the matter in a book packed with insight and challenges to conventional thinking. Well known to readers of Fly Fishing & Fly Tying magazine, Wyatt presents a wide-ranging and entertaining investigation of some of fly-fishing's central mysteries, including a fresh look at the theory of the 'selective trout'. Trout Hunting will help get your strategies organised and inspire reflection on the nature of this fascinating pursuit.
