Launched on April first, the beef industry now offers a 30-day Protein Challenge. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Director of Nutrition Outreach and Registered Dietitian Shelley Johnson shares more about the the Protein Challenge
Johnson: “The home base for the 30-day Protein Challenge is beefitswhatfordinner.com and we were shocked to learn it is the most popular page on our website. So it has been getting amazing attention. As a matter of fact, beefitswhatsfordinner.com is the place that people can do to get 30 day of emails to help them get through the challenge and 11,000 people have already signed up to receive those emails and they’ve been actively clicking and opening on links included in the emails. The links take people to recipes ideas and materials to help them reach the target of eating 25 to 30 grams of protein at all meals.

Johnson: “I want to make sure that cattle producers to know that there are a lot of creative ways beef is being presented to consumers right now. It is grilling season right now and we are hitting on grilling and it is the perfect time to try the Protein Challenge.”
