Noxious Weeds & Get Your Golf On

Noxious Weeds & Get Your Golf On. I'm Greg Martin with today's Northwest Report.

Poison Hemlock is establishing itself in Idaho and noxious weed officials are warning people to be on the lookout. The weed can be fatal to humans and livestock as well but officials say it's easily pulled or sprayed but you should always wear gloves when dealing with the plant. If you have any questions regarding poison hemlock be sure and call your local county weed department or log onto the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign's website.

Coming up on June 16th is a chance for you golf fans to get out there, have some fun and help a great charity. Warren Henniger with Ag World Support Systems says their 2nd Annual Ag World Golf Classic benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Spokane is open for registration. Last years inaugural event raised over $34,000 which helped support Inland Northwest families who are experiencing a medical crisis. Henninger says they've had a lot of interest.

HENNINGER: We have people from Idaho, Washington, Oregon. We even have people from Alberta, Canada so we've gone international with it a little bit.
