The importance of your sales guy knowing what he's talking about.

I talked to Sportsman's Warehouse hunting and fishing lead, Geoff Prihar about going muskie fishing. Talk about a wealth of information. "In Washington all of our muskies are hybrid muskies, they are Tiger muskies so they are a cross between a true muskies and a Northern Pike and in Washington we currently stock 7 lakes with Tiger muskies to help control the suckers, the carp, squaw fish, pretty much what we call trash fish that are hurting the sport fishery. Over the years the muskies have turned into a pretty fun little sport fish for guys that want to get out and target big trophy fish that we typically do not get fish for in the Pacific Northwest. Pound for pound they are an exciting fish to fight. They are an eating machine so their body is just full of muscle and they are a kick in the pants to have at the end of the line. For rods, we are looking at a 7 to 9 foot extra heavy bait casting rod. I use either Abu Garcia or Daiwa reels as well as 55-60 pound braided line just because these fish are kind of like their cousins the bass in the area, they do like structure so of coarse they are going to take your bait and tried to pull you right back down to where they came from.
